Single phase line‐broken fault detection and location based on differential voltage in radial distribution network

چکیده
Single phase line-broken (SPLB) fault is one kind of high impedance (HIF). When a SPLB occurs, there are four scenarios: with neither side conductors grounded (SPLB-NSCG), source conductor only (SPLB-SSCG), load (SPLB-LSCG), both (SPLB-BSCG). Traditional HIF detection methods using current or voltage characteristics have low sensitivity to fault. In this paper, analysed firstly in the cases first three scenarios fault, respectively. Theoretical analysis finds that at sides disconnection point significantly different. A sensitive method based on differential proposed for radial distribution network different data synchronization ability. Finally, location centralized intelligent mode feeder automation (FA) and distributed FA proposed. Simulations PSCAD verify feasible, highly immune neutral mode, resistance.

Fault location based on single terminal travelling wave analysis in radial distribution network
Fault location remains a challenging problem in order to restore power supply rapidly. In this paper, a novel single-terminal traveling wave fault location procedure is proposed in a radial distribution network. Firstly, the propagating speed of zero mode traveling wave is determined by BP neutral network method. Then the preliminary estimation of fault distance is calculated based on the diffe...

Internal Fault Detection, Location, and Classification in Stator Winding of the Synchronous Generators Based on the Terminal Voltage Waveform
In this paper, a novel method is presented for detection and classification of the faultyphase/region in the stator winding of synchronous generators on the basis of the resulting harmoniccomponents that appear in the terminal voltage waveforms. Analytical results obtained through DecisionTree (DT) show that the internal faults are not only detectable but also they can be classified andthe rela...
متن کاملTopology based Radial Distribution Network and its Voltage Stability Analysis
The stability index is a function of real & reactive power injected at that node as well as of node voltage. The report presents stability analysis of radial distribution networks. Two voltage stability indexes are used for identifying the node, which is most sensitive to voltage collapse. Therefore to calculate node voltages for varying operating conditions a simple load flow technique for sol...
متن کاملRadial Basis Neural Network Based Islanding Detection in Distributed Generation
This article presents a Radial Basis Neural Network (RBNN) based islanding detection technique. Islanding detection and prevention is a mandatory requirement for grid-connected distributed generation (DG) systems. Several methods based on passive and active detection scheme have been proposed. While passive schemes have a large non detection zone (NDZ), concern has been raised on active method ...
